A Fostinis design example. Choose your own string count, scale, handedness and appointments in the showroom.

Start with your playing, then your shape.

Think about the tuning you use, the music you play and the details you wish your current guitar had. Those answers are useful starting points for a custom electric guitar. In the Fostinis showroom, you can explore the Sphyx, Oryx and Matadaur side by side, then change the finish and appointments of the model that draws you in.

Each model is available with 6, 7 or 8 strings, parallel or multiscale frets, and right- or left-handed orientation. These are separate choices: a 7-string guitar does not have to use fanned frets, and a 6-string guitar can be multiscale.

Explore eight strings.

Choose 8 strings on the Sphyx, Oryx or Matadaur for a wider body, neck and fretboard, four tuners on each side, and matched eight-string pickups. Eight individual bridge saddles and rear ferrules follow your selected parallel or multiscale layout. Left-handed versions are available too. Choose the string count in the showroom before selecting hardware; your saved build and displayed total follow that choice.

Make the details yours.

Choose the top, body back and neck finishes independently. Explore transparent dyes, solid colors, bursts and sheen alongside pickups, bridges, tuners and electronics. The builder updates compatible hardware choices as your string count and scale change.

For custom inlays, graphics or a detail beyond the menus, use the custom request option to describe your idea and attach a reference. Save or share your design so the conversation can start with your actual choices.
